AFC Issues a Scholarship

The SGO grants a scholarship to a child who needs it.

A Student Gets Funded

Funds help cover real education costs including tuition, tutoring, books, and more. Putting the right educational opportunity within reach.

Up to $1,700 Tax Credit

You claim a dollar for dollar tax credit of up to $1,700 per year, not a tax deduction.

Why this fund

Qualifying isn’t the same as getting one. Millions of children clear every eligibility bar the Education Freedom Tax Credit sets and will still never see a scholarship. The only thing that turns a qualified child into a funded seat is a donor.

  1. For a low-income family, tuition isn’t a gap. It’s a wall.

There’s no stretching, no second job, no line item to cut that closes it. Your gift is what turns “we could never” into an application.

  2. This fund doesn’t ask a family to fit a category.

Not a faith, not a diagnosis, not a branch of service. A child who qualifies and a family who can’t cover the cost is the whole requirement.

  3. The same scholarship goes further where there’s less.

For a household already choosing between bills, a funded seat changes more than the school day. It changes what the next ten years look like.

Your gift goes wherever the need is greatest: any state, any school type, whichever child is next in line.

By the Numbers

The Need Isn’t Demand. It’s Funding. The classrooms exist. The kids are ready. What’s missing is the scholarship money to close the gap.

90%+

of every dollar you give funds scholarships directly, by federal rule.

51.7m

K–12 children nationwide already qualify for an EFTC scholarship.

K-12

the first federal K–12 scholarship tax credit in American history, and the first chance to fund a child's education this way.

Who your gift Reaches

The promise is simple: where a child starts shouldn’t decide where they finish. Here’s who your gift helps get there starting with the families furthest from the money.

  • Families who’ve never had a choice

  • Working households one bill from behind

  • Kids in towns with one option

  • First in the family to choose
